Ecclesia Stockton
“Ecclesia” is the Greek word used to describe a community of people in the ancient world.  Their purpose was to seek the greater good of the community that surrounded it.  It was their purpose to add wisdom, guidance and care for those outside of themselves.  This is the word that Jesus used to describe his people and what they are to be to the world around them.  The “ecclesia” exists to serve those who are outside of themselves.  The word “ecclesia” is what we translate into English as church.
